Bylaws
On October 17, 2009 at the CMAA Fall Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, CA, the Alliance members present voted and approved changes to the existing bylaws. Primarily these changes focused on the new council system of governance and the Board Development Committee (formerly the Nominating Committee)

Board Development Committee: In an effort to strengthen boards of directors and better cultivate members to move into leadership positions, there is a move away from nominating committees to board development committees throughout the non-profit world. Its responsibility will be two- fold: first it will present a single slate of officers for election. Secondly, it is charged with the responsibility of identifying future leaders and to forward the names of these individuals to the president and vice presidents for placement on one of the four councils.
