Membership Classifications
There are two primary categories of membership, voting and non-voting.
The Voting Member category includes membership classes: regular, members-at-large, sustaining, and physicians-in-training.
The Non-voting Member category includes the member class “family and friends of medicine.”
Eligibility
Regular membership: (Physicians; physician spouses/domestic partners; members-at-large)
Family & Friends of Medicine: (Must be sponsored by a voting CMAA member at the county or state level)
Sustaining Member: (Retired physician, spouse/domestic partner of a retired physician, widow, widower/domestic partner of a deceased physician)
Physician-In-Training: (Medical student; intern, resident, fellow training in California and/or spouse/domestic partner)

County Alliances
County Alliance dues vary by county. Not every county has an active Alliance. Click on the membership application below to see a list of counties with active Alliances. Please feel free to contact the County Alliance president.
- Receive quarterly newsletters (electronic & printed) that provide you with updated health-related information that may affect your medical practice or health in general.
- Participation at the CMAA’s Annual Session conference that provides leadership training for you to learn skills that can enhance your professional and personal life.
